We’re on the hunt for an experienced video editor with solid skills in motion graphics — and if you’ve got VFX, animation, colour grade or sound design experience, that's a huge bonus (but definitely not mandatory!).We’re looking for someone who lives and breathes editing. Somehow who can think fast on their feet, bring creative ideas to the table, and combine creative vision with technical skill from concept through to delivery. This role is perfect for a multi-skilled creator who thrives in fast-paced environments, loves storytelling, and isn’t afraid to get hands-on across a wide range of projects — from scrappy social shoots to polished branded films. You’ll collaborate directly with directors, producers, clients, and crew to bring bold, human-led work to life. The day-to-day role will include: - Edit engaging and well-paced content in Adobe Premiere Pro, being confident to take a full edit from creative to execution, with a strong understanding of narrative flow, pacing, and visual rhythm. - Lead the post-production process, including revisions, music sourcing and dabbling in a bit of colour grading and a basic sound mix. - Creating and animating motion graphics to elevate storytelling — from dynamic titles and transitions to simple product graphics and logo builds. Small-scale 2D animation. - Collaborating with other editors to hand over projects seamlessly, share assets, and maintain consistency across multiple deliverables. - Embracing new tools and AI workflows to streamline processes, enhance creativity, and push the boundaries of what’s possible in post-production. - Staying on top of file management and delivery formats, making sure footage and edits are backed up, organised, and ready for delivery. - Collaborate with directors and producers from pre-production through post, contributing creative ideas and problem-solving on the fly. - Help build our social presence by executing our social media plan and bringing your creative flair and Photoshop skills to the team. Must haves: - Proven experience (2+ years) as an editor in commercial, branded content, documentary, or agency settings. - Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve, with working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator. - A collaborative mindset with the ability to take direction and also self-direct when needed. - Comfortable in both solo and team-based productions, with an ability to adapt to different crew sizes and timeframes. - Organised and reliable, with strong file handling, time management, and communication skills. - Be available to work from our Surry Hills office five days a week. Nice to have: - Camera assistance / support on bigger shoots you aren’t precious about where what you do, or where you can help - you are a team player and can adapt to different roles to suit where we might need you. - Keep up with gear, software, and workflow trends, bringing fresh thinking and smarter processes to the table. - Bonus skills (not essential): Colour grading, sound design, VFX compositing, animation, videography. Why it’s good: - Opportunity to make a difference and grow with a new film production house with a talented team in a creative environment. - A voice in the work and the culture - we’re building something real, and you’d be a big part of it. - There’s no ceiling in this role, and we’ll allow you to follow the pathway you want in your career. - Regular social events with a community of creatives. If you’re looking for an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing film production agency, we want to hear from you.
